College Expectations

 

SOUTH PUGET SOUND COMMUNITY COLLEGE students are expected to…

1.Take responsibility for themselves, their actions and their education.

2. Know and follow academic policies, deadlines, and procedures as listed in college materials.

3. Respect others, challenge culture-bound assumptions, explore and appreciate different cultures, and contribute to an increasingly diverse global community.

4. Read all materials sent to them by the college and be aware of campus resources.

5. Balance the demands of school with work, family, and other obligations.

6. Be responsible for initiating actions such as scheduling advising appointments, registering for classes, requesting transcripts, and applying for graduation.

7. Know their instructors, administrators, advisors, and peers.

8. Understand what instructors expect of them and be aware of all grading policies, due dates, and test schedules.

9. Be an active participant both in and out of the classroom.

10. Seek out credible sources of information.
